Scheduling an Appointment
Scheduling an appointment with our dentist should be the first step of the process. As Invisalign is not suggested for everyone, our dentist must first conduct an oral evaluation to see if you qualify for this treatment.
If you are found eligible for Invisalign, our dentist will begin customizing a plan for you. They will create comprehensive 3D digital images to show you your teeth. An alternative to using the 3D images are traditional impressions. However, if you opt for 3D dental imaging, the iTero digital scanning system will give you virtual results by showing you the exact movements your teeth need to make as well as a preview of the outcome.
Invisalign consists of a set of transparent aligners. They are typically made of a BPA-free, SmartTrack material, meaning the aligners do not contain the toxins many plastic components carry. These aligners can be removed easily, making it extremely convenient to brush and floss your teeth as you normally would.
The Progress of your Treatment
Although Invisalign aligners are removable, our dentist will recommend wearing them the majority of the day and night. Additionally, your Invisalign aligners will be replaced by our dentist weekly or twice per month, depending on your specific case. Replacement is needed for the gradual and gentle movement of your teeth.
Proper Care During and After Treatment
Our dentist will provide you with useful instructions and recommendations on how to clean and take proper care of your aligners. After eating, be sure to brush your teeth, along with the aligners, before placing them back in the mouth. This step will eliminate any possibilities for bacteria to grow. After you have completed your Invisalign treatment, our dentist will most likely recommend wearing a retainer. This device is highly recommended as it will secure the stability of your teeth in their new position.
Credit and Payment
Our office offers credit options for the Invisalign procedure. You may also apply for Care Credit and see if you qualify for a credit line.
